$500

- Description
- It is shaped like a circle.
It is made up of two parts joined together, made with metal alloys of different colors and chemical makeup.
These parts are called the ring and the nucleus.
This aspect gives it greater security against possible counterfeiting.

On the reverse in the center of the nucleus there is the number “500”, with the word “PESOS” and the year of issue below this number. The coin is lined with laurels, and at the upper center of the ring there is a five-point star.
This coin entered into circulation in the year 2000.
