Quality Control

The Department of Quality Control of the Chilean Print and Minting House is responsible for the Control of:

• The raw materials used to produce all of the institution’s products.
• The production process.
• Finished products.

Quality Control, through its records, provides the Production Areas with the means to provide solutions for production problems and to maintain a high level of quality of the product during production.
This is achieved through a database that contains real and objective information, allowing for the analysis and interpretation of results.
Quality Control is responsible for the following activities:

• Inspecting raw materials, finished and unfinished products.
• Performing tests.
• Creating and maintaining control designs.
• Applying statistical methods.
• Establishing specifications.
