- Quality Policy
Quality, Reliability and Security These are the three foundations that the Chilean Print and Minting House’s quality control system is based upon. This institution, in conjunction with its employees, is committed to fulfilling the following duties: To provide quality, security and reliability in the production of official documents, coins, legal tender banknotes, license plates, bank documents and others, by controlling our work activity and environment in order to guarantee our products and services. To satisfy the needs of our clients, providing them with high quality products and services that meed their demands, as well as the legal requirements and security standards of the institution. To provide constant training for the members of this institution, in order to satisfy the demands presented by advanced technology and the market, giving our employees the ability to develop the skills appropriate to meeting these needs. To constantly improve ourselves, through the permanent evaluation of our work activity, adequate management of our resources, and our quality control system, in order to achieve our objectives as an organization and to ensure the complete satisfaction of our clients
- Security Policy
Perimeter Security Mission The mission of the Subdepartment of Security is to provide the necessary protection for the property, facilities, employees and clients of the Institution, using mechanical, electronic and human (Private Guards) control systems. Our electronic control systems include perimeter alarms as well as video camera systems on the property that are controlled and operated by Closed-circuit Television personnel. Objective The objective of the Subdepartment of Security is to maintain security measures and to provide instruction to its staff members, in order to comply with the security policies determined by Institutional Management. The Head of the Subdepartment of Security is charged with advising Institutional Management during decision-making regarding Informational Security. This policy complies with current regulations for Public Administration, and particularly with Chilean Rule 2,777, Law Nº 19,799 and its Regulations (Supreme Decree Nº 181 of 2002 from the Ministry of Economy, Development and Reconstruction), and Supreme Decrees Nº 77, 81 y 83 of June 4, 2004 from the Ministry of the Secretary General to the Presidency, which establish technical rules regarding electronic communication between Government Agencies and between these agencies and Chilean citizens; the Interoperability of Electronic Documents and the Security and Confidentiality of Electronic Documents. The purpose of this Policy is to establish the general framework regarding the Security of Institutional Information, reflecting the responsibility, support, interest, promotion and development of a culture of institutional security, and especially with the objective of: Avoiding the loss or inappropriate use of confidential information. Avoiding the deterioration or interruption of Informational Systems, that could interrupt the normal activity of the Organization, producing negative effects for the quality of service. Guaranteeing confidentiality, integrity and availability of information. Minimizing the probability that previously determined risks arise in our Institution. In order to meet the objectives indicated, it is necessary to have the commitment and collaboration of all users of the Chilean Print and Minting House Informational Systems. The General Informational Security Framework may be applied to all Informational Systems, informational facilities and communications networks within the Chilean Print and Minting House, establishing the legal requirements and ethics that will govern personnel at all levels of the Institution. Due to the inevitable evolution of technology, security threats, and new legal contributions related to this topic, the Chilean Print and Minting House reserves the right to modify any aspects of this report, as it deems necessary. Any changes made will be made known to all people with access to the Informational Systems, by the means that it considers appropriate.
